Care Instructions:​

• Machined aluminum frame: Wipe gently with a damp microfiber cloth, following the edges and corners. Dry with a fresh cloth.
  
• ClearLock™ UV shield: Rinse under lukewarm water to float off loose grit. Wipe both sides with a damp microfiber cloth, rinse clean, and pat dry.
  
• Backplate: Brush off any loose dirt, then wipe with a damp microfiber cloth. Rinse and dry thoroughly to prevent trapped moisture.

California License Plate Warning (CVC § 5201 & § 5201.1)

For any vehicle operated on public roads in the State of California, this product may only be installed and used in Open Mode as defined in Step 1 of the instruction manual. In Open Mode, the clear component must be mounted behind the license plate solely as a spacer and must never be positioned in front of any portion of the license plate or registration stickers.

California Vehicle Code § 5201 requires that license plates remain clearly visible and legible at all times, and § 5201.1 prohibits products or devices that obscure, or are intended to obscure, the reading or recognition of a license plate by visual or electronic means. Any installation or use of this product in California that places material in front of the license plate is prohibited, may violate these statutes, and is not an authorized use of this product by the manufacturer.
