TuxMat® Capsule™ Fitment Guide

Explore our Fitment Guide to get the best results on your vehicle.

Here Are Some Tips to Find the Best Fit:

The TuxMat Capsule is precision-engineered to fit the vast majority of vehicles however some conditions can affect how the case sits and secures to your vehicle.

Threaded Mounting Studs

Threaded Mounting Studs

Some vehicles use threaded studs on the mounting bracket instead of standard screw holes. The hardware included with the TuxMat Capsule is not compatible with this configuration and we recommend that you use your existing acorn nuts in place of the screws provided. This will not impact license plate protection or product performance.

A Curved Mounting Surface

A Curved Mounting Surface

The TuxMat Capsule installs securely on a curved surface. Because the case is engineered flat, small gaps may be visible on each side. This is purely cosmetic and will not impact license plate protection or product performance.

Tabs or a Raised Border

Tabs or a Raised Border

If your plate bracket has tabs designed to grip the plate, or a raised border running along the edge, the TuxMat Capsule may not sit flush against the mounting surface. Before installing, check that the screws can thread at least 5 mm (~3/16") into the bracket. If they cannot reach that depth, the case will not secure properly.
